very nice! 1 question, is your trd exhaust melting the bumper looks really close to touching. it will be one of my future modifications

It's best to get longer hangers with the TRD exhaust. Mine wasn't quite touching but did melt the inner lip of the bumper a bit. You can't see it though.

Look in the TRD exhaust thread for the part I used sucessfully on mine.

and no melting from the TRD exh...yet.

I have a question about your TRD springs. :confused:

1. Do you have the 15" wheels with the orignal tire size?
2. Did they drop the car 1.0 front and rear?
3. How's the handling v/s stock?

I'm not sure if I would install the TRD or NF210 springs. Thanks for the feedback.

Is it just me, or is Toyota not very consistent with their shades of paint? Or is this a special type of paint that really changes with the lighting? I'm hopeing meteorite metallic not a very light silver.

It's not that light when compared to the other shades of silver available outside the US of A.

Lighting combined with a good wash/wax combo makes a word of difference. Out color reflect other colors pretty well too so if there are hints of blue around when taking pictures, it tends to get a blueish hue sometimes.

The Stigs' pictures are great examples. With the blue sky's reflecting off his car it has a bluish hue, but in a white room it's a bit brighter.

At least that is what I have noticed for the 6months I have had my car. :smile:

Is this the color that, depending on the light, kind of shines blue and purple?

It's hard to tell in pictures, but I swear I've seen Yarises? Yari? like that on the road. Seeing as I can't seem to find a yellow Yaris at any dealership, which would be my first choice, I totally could get behind an incandescent sort of Yaris.

I am going to use Mcguires Next Generation then post my auto like yours on this site. I am pleased with my permanently well hidden GPS in the right glove box....Then I just close it when you get where I'm going...

I got some goody pics I'll post up here maybe later tonight. Have some daylight pics with the new rear bumper (so proud of myself as other than painting I did it all myself!) lol.

Also got a couple pics with the magnaflow setup on. WAY better than the Vitz TRD muffler I had that cost me $360. The magnaflow with tip cost me $226 at a local muffler shop. Great pics guys!!

Damn I can't believe how BAD my wheel gap was! Doesn't even look stock, looks like I put a lift kit on. SOOO glad I'm lowered!! Had to laugh, my first post I commented I'd be getting the TRD springs and tint. Still haven't done the tint!

I found only 5 (IIRC) 5 speed manual 3-door Hatches in the entire Northeast, and only one of them was a Meteorite Metallic specimen -- in Cambridge, MA. I drove to the Toyota dealership in Cambridge....and was told the car was still on the boat, headed to them! Lies! Lies!! Lies! It shouldn't have been showing as in stock on their online inventory. My second choice (re color and equipment) = in Rhode Island and...bingo...picked up my Yaris. I like the Bayou Blue (and it is easier to pick out in a parking lot), but the Meteorite Metallic would show less dirt. Do you normally drive your car with or without wheel covers?

What he said ^[emoji16]. Takes a little patience. I may buy another and redo it later. I made a small hiccup on one end but it's not very noticeable. May also play around with other lips too. I've been meaning to test out a couple myself.

yes. Some cutting and you have to drive screws through face of lip into bump to pull it in and conform. Removed about 1.5"-2" from either end. it is not a direct fit.

11 years of almost daily use. Bought new in April 2008 now has 110,203 miles. 3 Batteries, 1 water pump, 100,000 maintenance, some wiper blades, brakes, wipers, and oil change every 5,000 miles. Runs great. Probably keep it for awhile longer.

Since the hood, roof, and side mirrors were faded, I decided to cover them up with vinyl wrap with CF print. The contras real works with this color. I can’t decide if I want to color match the front lip, rear bumper skirt, and spoiler, or to keep them black? What do you guys think? Right now they’re just plastic black, and spoiler is not really installed yet, just temporarily put it on for the picture.

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I don't mind the contrast. I've been toying with the idea of wrapping my car a digital snow camo. I'd leave the carbon fiber bits naked.
