View Full Version : Car battery for yaris in Vancouver
I am looking for car battery for my car which is 2006 Yaris hatchback, however the service people in Canadian tire and Lordco can't seem to find them in their system.
Anyone know where to find car battery in Vancouver area?

Check your manual for the battery spec. code then give suppliers that info.
There aren't that many difference sizes of 12 volt auto. batteries. Just because they don't list Yaris in their system does not mean they don't have a battery for your application.
As a last resort you can simply measure the dimensions of your battery and they can run with that. They'll need to know whether it's the top-post or side-post type

Ryu, may I suggest you check at Costco. I was looking into an Optima battery for the Yaris and I recall seeing them carry the right size. Check into the cross-reference manual hanging on the display rack. Also look into their in-house brand which offers higher amps and better warrranty. Good luck.

Thank you guys for the advise !!
I just got back from Toyota and they say my battery is fine for now, guess that I will just get it from Toyota by the end of the year.

Todays batteries usually last 6-8 years what makes you think you need a new one after only 3 years? my 2001 Echo is still running the original battery and has no problem starting in the -20's we've been having this week.

Try some new plugs, air filter and use 5w-20 synthetic oil and you should notice an improvement.
