Thinking ahead to 2010. We should make a Faces of Yarisworld Calendar. Just something for fun and charge cost. Any of the Members on here interested. You and your car is what we should be looking for. Also who has calendar building experience I need tips/ ideas. I would like to get this done so lets make it happen.

I was thinking further into the idea and how about having a HB and Sedan of the month. Just an Idea. I will try to be fair to both.

Running Count: If we have more then twelve you may have to arm wrestle for it ladies and gentlemen.

All righty...here's my two-cents....

While it would be FABULOUS to be standing close enough to Mr. California to get my picture taken with him...I didn't join this site to pose for a calendar. If we did a calendar with EVERYBODY with their cars...(like the previous calendar only us WITH our cars)...open to everyone....then it would be ok. And it's not that I don't think I could hang with the younger ones like Jill or Erika...it just would not be me and it isn't what I joined Yaris World for.

I agree, in the past we tried similar sorta things (remember the "Queen of YarisWorld" debacle, old-timers?), and well yeah, it went to crap pretty fast, apart from a few very visible female members, it seems most of the others would prefer that it's not such a big deal that they are women.

I like the idea of a member+car calendar, regardless of sex, since the 2009 calandar didn't work out, we could aim for a 2010 one?

I agree with Lisa and Thomas on this one, the only debate I dislike more than the same old "Sedan vs. LB" crap is the "who's the best female on the forum" topic. Given the calendar idea is nice, but it tends to border favoritism based on one aspect alone...gender.

I'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned what happened last time there was a major sex-related "argument"...we lost an influential and integral member...

Well, one reason we should NOT limit to just the women besides for the reasons I already stated is that there are a few HOT GUYS here on Yaris World! I don't want a calendar of all women! But I would gladly buy one if it was a mix...:thumbup:

Hmmm..so are you going to be the one who actually goes through the work of getting the calendar created and printed and distributed? If so...then you can complain about what seems to be a popular change..

I know when Astroman put the last calendar together it was A LOT of work, even though he worked for a printing company.

I will check locally but I will also check online with zazzle and visaprint. Zazzle makes real good calendars but they tend to be a little steeper than visaprint locally could be more. At 50 calendars its $16.46 a piece on zazzle.

Best idea in my humble opinion is... Driver with their car, They go out take a picture with their car (male or female) look good of course =D, and be parked in a setting that best represents your location, ie somewhere on south beach for me or whatever. Then we pick the best ones. And we can add a little info on the corner about the car and/or person and location. Like a little bio. Ya know.. Like playboy =D.. But of course it would have to be Real High quality pics taken to submit. If you don't have a cam, ask someone to lend u a hand, someone has to have a good cam that you know. So whaddya guys think?

Please try to keep it clean here. Tenetative due date for submission is going to be May 30th, 2009. Calendars will be 17 X 11 and cost right around $20 a piece. It's cehaper in bulk but I will not be stuck with extras. Therefore you will have the option to buy off of a website.

It aint gonna happen,you have over 100 posts and a total of 1 maybe 2 pictures for the calendar,seems people are too busy hijacking the topic by yakking and running up post counts with irrelevant banter rather than submitting pictures worthy of a calendar,it was a good idea but this isnt the forum for it,you would be more sucessfull making a calendar of the avatars of the most prolific posters.

The reason nobody has snapped pictures is because there is this thing called winter that makes it really cold, bleak and nasty outside for about 6 months. Once the weather breaks, I'll definitely be submitting a picture. :thumbsup:

I'm probably appearing negative as a result of my dissappointment in where this topic could have gone and where it has gone.I dont buy the winter argument as if cold and snow somehow negate peoples creativity to take a photo and what about all our California friends.:iono:

I purposefully made the due date in may for the winter problem I have a place all lined up for my pictures but there hasn't be a clear enough day for the effect I want. Kaotic You should come up here after finals or some time when the weather is slightly nicer and work your camera magic.
