I was already pretty happy with the arrival of my new Netz emblem... but I was super happy when I received another delivery from UPS..

I ran down to my dealer, and had them install it right away.....

BTW It's a noticeable difference from about 4,000 RPM and up,... and it's not a short ram, the filter ends up under the headlight.

Sweet!!! That's the TRD intake listed for the Yaris correct? Or is that custom/special order style?

looks nice.
I know you did not do the install but
what is the tubing size? and
did you see anything special inside the tube where the mass airflow sensor mounts?

I drive a stick, and it is the TRD intake listed for the Yaris, I didn't do any measuring but my best guess for the tubing size would be about 2 inches. It was broken down into four major parts, two tubes, the air filter, and the bypass valve.

Well it came out looking very nice

I got mine 2 days ago, but haven't installed it yet.
Gotta do that today.

You better not go over 2" with an intake with the 1NZ cause it will bog a lot and the speed of the air coming in is too slow for performance increase.

How much did it cost and for with size yaris motor does it apply , is it for the 1.3?

I live in South Africa and would love to get my hands on that for my yaris.

thanks riceboy for the reply.
I can confirm what soros151 has stated.
I tried a custom 3" intake and it was a no go.
I'm glad it was due to the diameter of the tubing (thought so).
The mass airflow sensor is installed in a 2" diameter tube, in the stock
configuration.

Nice Intake...I have the same taste...you know can I order from dealership in BC if I just give them the parts number? or the TRDsource.com is the only source for the TRD intake?:coolpics:

to my knowledge the TRD intake is not available in Canada yet.. I had to order it from the US for that reason..

Just a word of advice.. if you're able to you may want to drive down across to the US yourself.. I got dinged with some nasty customs and brokerage fees.... I think all US dealers will have access to the unit... check trdsource for the product number.

That's interesting. Why don't Canadian dealers offer the intake also?
I got mine from Claremont Toyota dealer, about 25 minutes away from me here in California.

Riceboy - are you going to try and see if your MPG increases with it?

Yes, that would require you to drive the same as before, on a new tank of gas, to get an idea. :iono:

Just wondering

The Canadian dealers don't have it because I think that they are waiting to stock the AEM once it becomes available. Other than that I will track the fuel savings or loss... just give me a couple of tanks...

Nicee nicee...i see noticable difference with my HKS intake at 4000rpm too by the way whats the relationship of driving a stick and auto and an intake??

congratulations, you've lost 6 hp below 4100 rpm and only gained 3 hp above it...i would rather have the drop in filter that will increase your hp over the entire curve. Unless you've got aftermarket cams or A/F & TIMING reprogram you're losing gas mileage and street performance. I take this all back if you RACE YOUR CAR AT THE TRACK EVERY WEEK, but something tells me you don't....

kudos all the same (notice I'm no longer patienct with trivial, UNDOCUMENTED MODS!!) I AM SPONSORED BY TRD AND L-TUNED, but what do I know? :iono:

Who cares? Last time I checked I spent the money, whoopie you're sponsored by TRD & L-Tuned,.. I guess that makes you the tuning king of the universe! (notice I'm no longer patient with trivial, UNDOCUMENTED COMMENTARY!!)
