Laura Stewart, 39, of 197 Georgetown Road was at the wheel of a Toyota Yaris when she crashed into the rear of a Danvers police cruiser that was blocking traffic near a water main break near Giblees Fine Clothing just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
[...]
Stewart, who is also charged with driving to endanger, declined medical attention at the scene. The impact was enough to cause her air bag to deploy, according to a police report.
According to the police report, a "lethargic" Stewart told officers she had just come from the Sylvan Street Grille, where she said she had three drinks. When Patrolman Phil Tansey asked if she was sure about that, she smiled and then said she'd had five.
Stewart failed several field sobriety tests, falling against her car as she attempted a one-legged stand and making it only to the letter "I" in an alphabet test, according to a report by Patrolman Scott Frost.
