Hi all,

I tried searching for a topic on this but couldn't find one.

My yaris has '1.5 VVT-I' stickers under the side indicators and wish to remove them. Can I just rip it off or is there some specific way I have to do it?

Hairdryer + toothfloss. Then clean.

Edit: Just read it again. 'sticker'. Not sure if its the same thing as emblem removal.

Yes, I think the "1.5 VVT-i" stickers are not the same as the "VVT-i" emblems. They are an actual sticker, not the chrome emblem. I saw them somewhere in a thread here... I believe they are a light silver color, and that they appear below the side marker lights in Australia (maybe elsewhere too).

Correct, they just peel right off without needing to apply any heat.

I think it's a bit hard, when you pull the sticker off it stretches. LOL

I guess just a heat gun + some water should take care of it then.

That's true. I pulled the sticker off without any hassel. The sticker did stretch and you'd have to be very very very careful not to stretch it. I don't think anyone would wanna buy it anyway the glue gets all crapped up once you peel it off.

Another question: does anyone know where I can get the VVT-I emblems besides ebay?

Microimage sells the ones with the red "i". I personally like the all-chrome VVT-i emblems, and use them on my Yaris directly under the turn signal.

Yeah I would get the all chrome one as well but I've got an Australian YRS yaris and my 'S' in the YRS is red so I thought the red I in the VVT-I would be a nice match.

Also I've seen a few 'RS' badges for the front grille. I was just wondering what that stands for? Is it like a 'Type R' of the yaris or something? I've never personally seen one in Australia. I wouldn't mind getting one but I don't wanna be one of those guys who puts stuff on their car that doesn't belong so I thought I'd leave it alone.

I beleive the "RS" stands for "Refined and Sporting." In North America, the RS is the top model Yaris, but unlike Europe, there is no difference in the engine size compared to base models. Correct me if I am wrong, anyone.

I put the "TS" (Toyota Sport) badge on my front grille. I like the European look for the Yaris, so I decided to go with that theme.

The RS badge looks good on the Yaris. It is on the JDM Vitz RS. In Australia we don't have an RS grade, as we have taken a different approach to our grade naming (YR, YRS, YRX).. The closest thing we have to an "RS" model would be our YRX.. however we sport a different bodykit and a few other little bits n pieces like the popular RS Tail Lights...

Where can the VVT-i Vinyal sticker be purchased? I looked and wasn't able to find anywhere to buy them.
