Inauguration Day and the winner is?

The news is reporting that the visitors to Washington DC might exceed 3 million today

Holy crap! That is more than the entire population of Vermont (about 700,000) added to the population of Maine or New Hampshire (about 1.3 million each).

Every person there will do exactly the same thing.............

EAT

The Hospitality Industry is the clear winner! Every podunk eatery will see business and alot of it.

All those people are going to be hungry and since this is a special occasion ....... they will stop and eat!

We joked around here about opening up a stand selling anything. Just have to write the word Obama on it and it would have sold. Hey Obama supporters, thanks for the traffic

If I'm a terrorist sitting in a hole in the desert and I happen to catch a glimpse of what happened in DC today, I'd probably be rethinking my career choice.

$160million dollars spent on the ceremony

Or $.80 per person who showed up. Not too bad considering each probably pumped 5-10 times that (at least) back into the economy.

Only 1.4? I thought it was closer to 2... either way I definitely missed a 0 in there.  I'm still > calculus.

I don't know the official number, I just heard 1.4 on the news today. Probably not accurate...

What a speech! After the drivel (and stupidity) that the US has endured for the last 8 years , a refreshing change indeed. Just the very best of luck to the man...

Not sure who won, but I can tell you who lost!

I want to say something once to someone (anyone) and then I'll leave it alone. It makes me sick that we booed President Bush yesterday. I think silence is a much more respectable and appropriate way to show your disdain for your elected leader. That really put a dark spot on what was otherwise a pretty awesome spectacle.
