I did, two events. I kinda want a hb too, but think they are all less attractive (to me), except for the new 09's.

I usually run my wrx, but I tried the yaris out for a few events in july. All I have currently are hankook R-S2 Z212's, a trd swaybar, and shifter cage bushings. I also have a blitz LM intake.
sorry wrong attachment. Those are the results.

That's a pretty decent place for a yaris with stock sus, :D nice job.

I think sport compact car compared a sedan with r comps and coilovers against other slightly modified cars and from what I remember it pulled like 1.02 lateral g's... you probably have a better chance of beating a LB since the sedan is lower to the ground and not so stocky - just a thought.
Good luck if you decide to continue and most people here will say, "its not the car, its the driver." A fast driver can be fast in any car with practice...

Yup, I have (or had) that issue. They were using Tein SS coilovers (same one that Thomas has, right?) and R compound tires.

I like at the end where they make you come to a complete stop. Where we run its just a sharp curve and another runway...
yeah we call it the slow down box. if you enter it too fast or just fly out of it, your run will be penalized

There is a local guy who ran in HS and did pretty good. I plan to run this coming season. Will probably be in HS until I get more suspension.
It is all about the driver though.
cool! fact is, sedan is very auto-x-able. hell, u can auto-x in any car and still have tons of funs... so i say just go out and do it already

Seconded. Why the hell is it that winning is the ONLY thing? Having fun is the best reason for going out there, learning how to ddrive your car is second-best. Not everyone is out there to win, and they are the ones who benefit most from an event, IMHO.

What tire and size for slicks?
This year I'll be using Toyo R888.....but it's a special tire......n/a in the USA.
225 / 45 /13.
Last year I used a track tire 225/45/15 NT-01's for the track.
Yoko's for solo2 were 205/50/15's.
I can't wait for the 13's. Small, light, quick gear changes. Sticky sticky sticky.
BTW DNGZ, I love the Fidanza. Nice and light!!! speedy shifts. The car is so rev happy now.
yes i used the yokos i believe.... hehe arent u gonna get a fidanza flywheel to larry? thought u were getting a clutch and flywheel upgrade awhile ago! haha id rather have ur lsd!!

Fidanza fly and exedy 3puck stage 2 installed and married to trd LSD.
Awesome combo. I was trying to wait and get the new tranny with shorter gears, but couldn't wait anylonger.
Looks like we may be competing in the snow on Sunday. Who knows. if it does snow we might not run. They put a fence all around the pad and the last event in the rain one of the cars ran off the track and into the fence!
You going to compete in solo sprint this year? Maybe win some tires?
