where do you have your height set on the spindle and how does the drop look?

i was talking w/ mojoyaris yesterday about this and am subsequently thinking about running w/ the rears all teh way up and the fronts about 2 fingerwidths from the top....

can anybody lend some experience on this?

My rears are almost all the way up; I'd say there are only a few threads left. The fronts have a lot of threads left still. I wish I could raise my back end up a bit, actually.

Here's how my car sits right now in "winter mode" w/steelies, and in "summer mode" w/orange wheels and 195/55/15 tires.

How do you like your coilovers?

I really do like 'em. They are stiff, even on the softer settings. If you're looking for a plush, comfortable ride, look elsewhere. If you're looking for adjustability, good quality, and a decent price, give them a shot. I've been very happy with their performance, especially for the price. I really don't have any complaints.

It should be mentioned that the Megan Racing coilovers are made by BC Racing, aka Bor-Chuann (http://www.bcec.com.tw/). Bor-Chuann makes Megan Racing coilovers, KSport, and D2 coilovers.

How low can you go with these Megan coilovers?

they seem like they can go pretty effin low....i mean thirty-nine has the rears almost all the way up and is at least -1.5"....and check out the thread left to go down on the rears....theres a TON left

the fronts seem to be similar.....talking w/ mojoyaris, he says he has about 2 finger widths to the top and his drop looks similar to 39

so really i think you can slam it low low on megans...if you want to

There used to be threads on here with mixed views about these coilovers, but most of the criticism seemed to be coming from people who didn't own them.

I now have Megan Racing products in my lineup if anyone wants these.

What would the Megans cost me shipped to 98038?

Thanks!

Could someone tell me what the big silver bolt with threads right under the rear red shock body is used for and if it needs to be adjusted at all coming right out of the box? Would I be able to go as low as 39 in the pics if I dont adjust that bolt and only adjust the springs?

And how does that work, how do you do it?

Between the adjustment on the perch below the spring and the one on the shock you can change the preload on the spring. If you were to put the spring up all the way and the shock down the shock can only extend so far and it will put more load on the spring.

I sort of understand now, so what would be the best setup? If you lower the spring, dont you have to lower the shock as well, and vice versa when you raise the spring you raise the shock for best results or am I mistaken?
