Yo,

I got fogs for my 2007 yaris from Jimcat for pretty cheap. I've had them for about 6 months now couldn't be happier. So yeah hit up Jimcat and I'm sure he can set you up.

I was thinking about adding them to my Yaris. Do they automatically turn on with the headlights or is there a separate switch that turns them on???

Thanks!

If you buy the turn signal stalk with integrated fog light control to replace your existing one, then the fog lights work when the headlights come on. You can also switch them off when the headlights are on, and they automatically go off once the highbeams are on and when the car is off.

How much does this one you're talking about cost Marty? and how hard/expensive to install?

In stock for both LB and sedan $99 shipped. Clear, smoke or yellow - your choice.

Includes wiring harness and switch (which goes in the panel down by your e-brake)

How expensive would you guess installation would be? I may be contacting you next paycheck. Thank you for that quick response.

I ordered my fogs from Jimcat. I also got much advice from 1NZYaris1. I recommend 1NZYaris1 to modify your wiring to make it 100% plug and play. Contact him, as he was a true help to me, and gave me the idea to do the headlight stalk (which is genuine Toyota method if you got the fogs from factory), instead of the push button (non-Toyota) switch near the parking brake.

You would need the headlight stalk and relay.

I paid $76 for the stalk.

Then, to get the fog light indicator to light up on the instrument cluster and close off the circuit in the fuse box, the relay is needed and its $20.

Using the stalk is the simplest way, and factory plug and play method to install the fog lights. You don't have to go through your firewall, and no dismantling of your interior is needed. You will have to remove the steering wheel, which is quite an easy task, and also remove your front bumper which is also quite easy.

You also do not have to splice any wires at all. You basically run the wires to each bulb housing, then that same harness branches off to a battery grounding, and to 2 connectors in the engine fuse box. Really easy, and far better than the DIY parking brake button switch method. Best of all, the stalk contains the switch for the fogs right where you switch on your headlights and turn signals.

Once setup, the fogs turn on when the headlights are on (not the daylight running lights), switch off when highbeams are used, and turn off when the car is turned off. You can also choose to switch them off at anytime.

I can also send you a Toyota PDF manual/schematic on how to install the fog lights, as per factory recommendations.

Are you after fog lights for a 2000 model
You can use the same lights as the 2006-2009 yaris ,but you will need to buy the correct face plates from toyota ($42.00NZ) + you need to make up a bracket to hold them in place, i used the above to do an install 3 months ago on a 2002 hatch back .
but unfortunitly i did not take any photos of what i did, sorry
i still have the factory pdf for the instal though, if interested

Someone please post these instructions, this is a much better way. Using the extra switch the old way it is easy to forget and leave them on draining your battery (ie no idiot buzzer.)
