What springs should I get? Help!

I've got about $170 to spend for my spring upgrade the list of springs I'm considering is:

Tanabe DF210 lowering springs (http://shop.microimageonline.com/product.sc?categoryId=4&productId=8) - $158.00

Tanabe NF210 lowering springs (http://shop.microimageonline.com/product.sc?categoryId=4&productId=9) - $168.00

Progress Lowering Springs (http://shop.microimageonline.com/product.sc;jsessionid=8859C4F85CCCA753424B05614428 E4B7.qscstrfrnt03?productId=75) ------ $144.95

Megan Racing Springs (http://www.wesellcarparts.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=4491) ----------- $132.00

I don't like to rush things, and probably am not going to be able to do any further major upgrades for a while, so I'm quite worried about which ones to buy. I also want larger wheels someday. I think the DF210s are the largest drop, but I wonder about pot holes and speed bumps. A larger drop might not allow me to get larger wheels later. The Tanabe site seems to mention that they are more for lowering then performance. The NF210s have a larger wheel gap and are made for comfort. I'm not sure how much I like that. My wallet likes the Progress and the Megan springs, but They don't seem as popular as the Tanabe springs. But I think the price difference might help make up for the alignment I'll have to get a couple weeks after the install... basically I'm a total car noob and want to be sure before spending my money:wink:

Also, just an FYI...Tanabe is a very reputable performance company in Japan; they make quality suspension modifications as well as exhaust products :) Also, when you lower your car, you will be increasing it's performance since you will be lowering the car's center of gravity making it more agile.

Progress and Megan are generally less expensive than Tanabe and not quite as reputable but they also both make great products...to my knowledge.

I had a set of Tanabes and they were nice but the C-Ones are better.

I bought Russel's Tanabe DF210's for $90 shipped. Look around, you can find deals. :thumbsup:

If I were doing springs instead of coilovers I'd do the C-One Suspension Kit which includes struts. :)

well after seeing this thread (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6627) I finally ordered some DF210s I hope I'm making the right decision... Since she has 17's and DFs then I can too:evil:

Like I said, I run DF210's and I've never rubbed. Only thing is some minor muffler scrapage on extreme angles. You'll be good. :thumbup:
