While looking for an HKS DLI for my Supra MKIV, I happened to find TWO of them at a very good price and both willing to exhcnage for some old race parts I had. One goes into my Supra, and the other I was thinking I'll put on my Yaris. I was trying to find a thread here about HKS DLI installations but there doesn't seem to be any. Has anyone ever done it or knows a link somewhere? Both items are second-hand units.

On the Supra, since my unit isn;t a plug and play, I have to splice the wires into the igniter. Is there a similar mod / part for the Yaris where I can splice the HKS DLI into? Thanks guys.

The HKS DLI is an ignition amplifier that converts your ignition system to both capacitive discharge and wasted-spark (if I remember the literature correctly).

Admittedly it's overkill for the Yaris' engine, especially an unstressed one but I have it lying around and thought I'd bolt it on.

It looks like its just a voltage stabilizer from using capacitors just from skimming the website, That would be cool if it was adjustable for the price!, let us know how it goes

Adjustable? Err nope nothing to fiddle with on the HKS-DLI. I dunno about the newer Type 2 HKS-DLI though
