Tell me what you think of this combo.

Wheels:
14x6 Kosei K1 TS Silver Painted (9.3lbs)

Tires:
175/65R14 Kumho Solus KR21 Blackwall (16lbs)

25.3lbs per wheel & tire.

How would this do for MPG and overall all season traction for light foot driving of a hypermiler?

Well, I'm not a hypermiler, but if you're doing a fair bit of highway mileage, why not go with a taller tyre like a 175/70/14, which will fit very comfortably.

Well its gonna be pretty 50/50. I'd like to keep the tire diameter as close to the stock 14s as possible.

Going a little taller will lower your RPM's and can increase mileage a bit. And the KR21's kick ass in terms of winter traction. Nothing like a winter specific tire, but for an all season I haven't seen any better. I actually have them on my Xb...

Rays advertises a 3% increase in mileage for going to a lighter wheel and tire (on a Prius or Civic Hybrid).

I'd assume similar improvements.

I wouldn't expect much more.
