it's been posted in the last couple days. people have claimed +3whp with pullies. so, about $100/hp

hhmm ok so no header then. i cant remember once where some1 showed a dyno of header gains(excluding Richards). So is the header just a placebo for our cars?

everything but forced induction and a tune is a placebo on the 1.5L 1NZFE

but a lot of little mods that add a tiny bit of HP all do add up.... don't add up to much, but it does add up

tell you the truth, I do not think anyone has noticed anything from installing a header... I sure did not

I can't comment on the header by itself since I installed my header/cai/exhaust all at the same time, but there is a definite improvement on the top end. 5000 to redline feels much better. It does feel about the same as stock until you get past 3500rpm.

I had a DC Header and TRD exhaust installed at different times, header (at least the DC, cant speak on the others Megan, etc) had noticable increase at 3500 rpm-redline. Header has been since sold to Loren who I believe has noticed similiar gains as well. Maybe he can comment and confirm.

I'm not sure why others didn't see this, but I saw a BIG difference when I put on my Weapons R 4-2-1 header. It went like this:

TRD catback = little change

AEM CAI = a little change

NST Pulley Set = a little more change

Weapons R Header = Big change!

This was just my experience.

how hard was the install. I heard the crank pulley is a pain to get off and some guy snapped his header after a couple moths due to a bad install....he forget to install the spring nut thingy..:iono:

Header is pretty straightforward, 3 bolt and 2 nuts + the 2 bolts/springs connecting stock manifold to the headpipe. There is also a lower bracket w/1 bolt and a small bracket holding A/F sensor wire. The A/F Sensor will need to be removed from the stock exhaust manifold and installed in the new header. Just a heads up many of us had the "crossthreaded" A/F Sensor and had to buy a new one because the stock one just cannot be removed.

so i goto by more stuff where do i get it? part number?

I bought header from Dan over @ We Sell Car Parts for $265. DC part number THC4407

I also purchased a brand new A/F Sensor from Ken over at Sparks for 170.25, Toyota part # 8946752020.

Hope this answers your question

yea thanks. why they make it crossthreaded? i wonder if it shows in the manual how to get it out. Hard to think they made it so it could not be removed

horsepower is not additive..

pullies, +3hp
header +3hp
intake +2hp
exhaust +5hp

that does not mean you're now +13hp...

The more I drive the Yaris, the more I agree with Tamago. Go FI/Nitrous/built motor and a tune or go home.

this maybe true but FI is beyond my mechanical skill at the moment other wise i would get the PE kit. Mechanics i can deal with but the electrics are a puzzle.

I think if you get that PE kit, they'll install it for you.

EDIT: Nevermind! Doesn't say anything about it in their thread, but I asked him out of curiosity.

Did you even read the first post? Cuz yeah, I did.

Hey, in the spirit of giving you an idea Yoda, here are some links.

Nobody on these forums has installed this kit yet. $888 for the kit, another $750 :iono: for engine management... I know you said you didn't have the skills to install. I don't either so I know how you feel, but maybe that option would leave enough headroom to have a professional do it. IDK

looks like a bunch of shiny parts put together. ehh not really trusting that. I would have to research the company that manufactured it and see if the had some type of warranty on the equipment.
