If it is a commuter, you may like some modifications for comfort. How about getting leather seats? If I remember correctly, somewhere on this site, a member has shown pictures of his leather seats.

Speaking of seats, why not go with heated. Love the heated seats.

I wanna say the ebay leather seat kit was $700 or so. Heated seats $200.
Be cozey in the winter :)

I'm the one with the leather seats.

If you have the 60/40 split rear in your HB, wait until Classic Soft Trim cuts the pattern. My installer f'ed up and installed the fronts before realizing the kit was for the bench seat so now I have leather fronts and factory rears. I'm still glad I have it but it would be nice to have it done.

There's an installer near you in Farmingdale.

I just got off the phone from the dude in charge of patterning. The leather kit for the liftback with the split rear seat is due to be released Monday (8/18).

Yipee!

The saving part isn't the problem... its the keeping this a commuter still is the problem!

Lots of great ideas though, thanks!

the only mods i will concider is if it will save me gas money :)

well, i wouldnt mind putting in a better stereo... ive been spoiled by alpine for years... not sure how long i can deal with the stock.
but then a better stereo means i need an alarm... and power locks.. ugh.
the cycle continues...

lol. all of the mods i listed (except for the reupholstering thing) can can save gas- to an almost negligible extent.

and an alarm... good idea- i'd add that to the list.
