I think she would make the Yaris lean as well! I can't believe anyone would blame the manufacturer for not considering fat people (yes, I am calling her fat!) when building small cars. Big people need big cars, otherwise this will always be a problem!

Yeah, and if you really believe that I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I will sell ya! They are only saying that to avoid any more negative publicity, even despite the fact that it wasn't their fault. If they had admitted the truth, fat people wouldn't buy Kias anymore, plain and simple.

The problem is the woman really fails to accept the fact that her weight caused the problem. That much weight concentrated in one area will have an impact on control when the brakes are applied. It can be easily ascertained by having someone who weighs a whole lot less take the car for a test drive (something I am sure the dealership did before they did any work on the car, and remember it was worked on at least twice!).

And what kind of idiot who is embarrassed and humiliated by such an experience goes on television and tells the world about it? Well, that's an easy question to answer; the same kind of idiot that says things like "(she) hopes her story will make manufacturers more aware of our growing society."

If this woman walked into Express and they didn't sell clothes in her size, would she get mad about that, too? Society shouldn't have to conform to the problems of others unless those problems are unavoidable. She isn't blind. She is unhealthy. That can be corrected. It is also obvious that her car's alignment is only the icing on the cake, excuse the pun. (She obviously has some self esteem issues)

She's just looking for attention. I actually feel bad for the well-intentioned dealership for having to put-up with her, seeing how they were just trying to find a solution

You know i worked at a alignment shop before and we were required to sand bag the drivers seat on bmws before we aligned them. So for the mechanic to suggest aligning the car with her in it would make a lot of sense. When you sit in the car it does change the alignment angles. For most people its not enough to make the car pull. But obviousely a small car with a very large person the difrence is much greater. This would ensure the toe would be zeroed out once she is sitting in the car.

Another option would to change out the springs with a heavy duty one. This is a common practice for cars or trucks that constantly have a heavy load in the back so the rear end dosnt sag.

But i mean its kinda common sense. Its liek a really really tall person buying a sports car and complaining about neck pain cause he has to creep his neck down to fit in the car and drive. If you are a large person buy a larger car. Dont buy one of the smallest cars available and then complain about it.
