Im installing my newly acquired df210's (thanks again Sabretooth!) ....my question is.....is it absolutely necessary to cut the bump stops? :iono:

yes, cut off the portion "above" the plastic collar and use that part only. you can always save the part you cut off and re-install later if you go back to stock and so desire.

Yes, you should cut the bumpstop. On any car, if you lower it.

ah well did it anyway......took me 4 hours....too much blood a little sweat and a few tears of fury. I am not touching those things for a very very long time. Looks amazing.....but not touching them for a long time. Pictures when the anger of the install fades.....

I didn't think it was a bad install, and I'm hardly a mechanic.

yup took the wiper piece off. Real problem was the nuts on top of the strut underneath the wiper piece. Took forever to get an angled wrench that would work. Just a lot of slips and knicks and cuts

if you have to do it again, the easy thing to do is pick up a set of "hollow sockets"

it's a 17mm socket. that way you can put the allen down thru the middle.

or you can use an impact gun to remove  that's the eeeeeasy way out
