my friend was looking at my injen intake and said-"you could have a better setup if you put the battery where the airbox used to be and run the snorkel up by the brake master cylinder and make a little scoop to take advantage of the higher pressure at the base of the windshield."

it would be a fun theory to test. but if i did it, it would look pretty cobbled together. the good news is that piece of the cowl is easily removed for master cylinder access and relatively small so if one did butcher it up, the replacement piece to go back to stock wouldn't cost as much..

has anybody else figured out how to do this?

the theory is there... the old craftsman truck series had a similar intake setup

you'd see more gains using a NACA duct in the hood

do any of the carbon fiber hood options have a functional NACA or at least a fake one that could be converted to functional?

the other thing. moving the battery further forward isn't the best solution, but simpler than moving it to the back of the car.

Rogue Yaris on here was making them for the Fit -- I asked him to make one for us.

There is a snap-on section of cowl towards the driver side, this would be a direct replacement piece.
