YarisWorld Emblem

I think we should design a YarisWorld emblem that'll fit where the netz and toyota emblem fit on the front bumper. It would definitely be a cool way of noticing hardcore YW members! thoughts?

My thoughts are it would look better as a rear mounted emblem, but not sure how many people would rock one.

Well, since I am cutrrently unemployed, and since design is my thing (usually boats, not emblems) I decided to try a YW emblem. I took the "Y" from Yaris, and the "W" form World, and here is the first attempt. It is on a red background, coz my car is red.
The whole idea is to put up something tht folks can comment on. Hack it to pieces - that's the idea. You can talk till you're blue in the face, but this way is more fun :biggrin:

Alright. Played on autocad today and found out that the front emblem size isn't big enough to do, but the trunk emblem circle is barely big enough to fit all the letters in. Could do one to replace the Yaris or Toyota name on the trunk. Can only be made into chrome with double sided tape like most emblems come with.

Might be a while since it will be done on his free time. He also needs a good pic file of the Yaris World font

I was going for a full-on replacement for the central Toyota emblem, in 3D chrome. If you squish all the letters in there, it will just look like crap because you cannot achieve sharp corners, and they will all "flow together".
Honestly, if you want to be able to see all the letters, get a YW sticker.

Y'know, I thought of that. A lot! The trick is to make it close enough to look like it, but far enough away to be obviously different. Since I'm bored, I'll play with that. :biggrin:

wat up yarheads.. how about this one. i was messing with it on my comp. its not the best drawing but its an idea.. of course, the lettering should be crome and the rest black.. you know, like the toyota front grill badge.. or you can go fansy and it crome and color match the rest to go with yo yaris..

I would love a custom badge. Not sure about the VW one, I bet a lot of people wouldnt notice/get that it was different and think I'm trying to pass off as a VW!

I think a grille badge or rear chrome/black chrome badge would be cool... to tell the truth I'm just not sure I would want to replace any of my center badges (I want people to know It's a Toyota that just streaked past them :laugh:) I've already removed the "YARIS" and "TOYOTA" badges from the back; swap out the T badge and no one will know what it is! I think for me a YarisWorld grille badge would be best, so my Yari will keep a smooth looking butt :biggrin: Whoa... inspiration! How about a grille badge like the one in the upper left corner of this site?

I know that there has been only a few ideas tossed thus far, but I like Sail's design the most. It is clean looking, professional as if a major vendor had mass produced it, and maintains the font scheme for the site. Great job. I will say that I voted for backlit with LEDs. There is a vendor over here in Afghanistan right now that sells a white LED toyota badge and to be really honest even tho at first when I heard of it, it sounded kind of ricey to me, but after seeing it, I liked it a lot. Sail's design is classy and I think it would look sweet with white LEDs. Just my 2 cents.

I dunno.. like I said losing all Toyota markings means a lot of people won't know where to go to, to get their own Yaris. I like it here on YarisWorld, but I wouldn't want it to be the main focus of my grille or tail... (altho a back lit Netz badge that looks normal until you turn on your head lights would be freaking awesome...)
