If it helps motivate someone, our electrical tech at work told me i can get rid of the TPMS light a lot easier than cutting wires which doesnt work. he knows exactly what to do and how to do it, he just needs a diagram.

aww dang, you have the 2009, sorry to say I dont have it, and I couldnt find it anywhere, maybe one of our dealership-working friends here will chime in with the new manual.
This is as good a place as any to say that if someone will send me the 2009 manuals in pdf/paper I will post/scan it.

Check out the following post: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=186789&postcount=45
Cutting the VSS and ESS wires didn't work, but this method did. I have been driving with my TPWS bypassed since November.
I do have the 09 diagram if you want it. PM me your email address and I'll send it to you, as it is too large to post without it being unreadable...

Switch is optional with mine. It is only for those who want to be able to activate/deactivate it on demand (i.e. for those who run summer / winter rims and don't want to deal with having the system reprogrammed twice a year).
