for my sedan,

in the next couple weeks im going to buy the trd rear sway bar and some new springs,

and i was thinking it would be smart to just stay all trd but i love the way the nf210s look on a sedan..

ahh

which are better in your opinions?

i want my bby to handle turns better then my friends honda civic so i can throw that in his face.. hehehe

I believe the TRD and NFs have basically the same drop. DFs go lower.

I say NF210's. They're cheaper and both have about the same drop. I use Tanabe's on my car and it handles like a dream.

Micro Image has them brand new for $168 shipped,
which is a steal if you compare it to ebay, etc. http://shop.microimageonline.com/product.sc?categoryId=4&productId=9

You have to remember that TRD is just a re-brand of other manufacturer's parts. I have TRD parts on my car, but the TRD intake is made by AEM. Not sure who the shocks are made by, but you're just paying for the TRD name, which is fine if that's what you want.

yeahh.. i dont give a damn about the name im just concerned about warrenty

Unless the dealer installs them, they aren't going to warranty it.

But if you're getting installed by the dealer, I'd go for TRD to keep the warranty valid.

Both sets are nice springs, you really can't go wrong. I just think TRD things are too expensive. I use a TRD CAI and a TRD SSK, but I bought both used at a good price.

Good luck!

They might be made by Eibach, but I'm not sure either. There is a difference between the TRD springs and Tanabe - TRD have progressive coils, meaning they get stiffer as they compress. I believe from reading on the forums the TRD ride a little smoother.

And TRD "sport" parts ARE warrantied if you install them, but only for part failure I believe. (if you install them wrong and they break because of that, you're screwed - but if you have the dealer do it, its just like your car warranty) TRD "racing" parts aren't covered at all.

And I've seen TRD springs under 200... 50 bucks a spring is too much??

Anyways, with that said, Tanabe and TRD both make good springs from what I hear :D

I'm not saying the TRD's aren't a good product, just to keep in mind that they are made by other manufacturer's, so don't spend more $$ on the name alone.

And my dealer had told me that if you don't buy the part from the dealer (or Toyota) and have it dealer installed, it won't be warrantied.

for the 15$ more that trd's are...id go w/ them

nf's are soft and w/ a linear spring rate, no?

trd's at trdsparks.com are 179

I really wanna lower mine, but I bought a warranty at the dealership through a third party *will have to check for the company name* I got my car/warranty in October of 08, and the warranty was like $680. Wondering if I should get a hold of the dealership about canceling the warranty for a pro-rated refund/deduction on my loan.

Not sure if Tanabe's are linear, but I will ask. Here is their description of their manufacturing technology:

Sustec 210 Technology: NF210 Lowering Spring

All of our coil springs feature SUSTEC 210 Technology. Sustec 210 Technology is a series of manufacturing methods developed to create a stronger, thinner, and lighter spring using only high tensile steel, without adding additional elements that could affect quality, durability, or price. "210" stands for 2100n/m of tensile strength, which is the highest strength ever acheived in a coil spring. The Tanabe Shiga factory in Japan is home to some of the most advanced, unique coil spring machines and processes in the world!

Tanabe makes quality products. TRD does too. So many choices......
