Yaris isn't spec'ed to pull anything in the USA. You are opening yourself to legal liabilities should something arise (US people).
We're spec'ed to 700lbs in Canada (NB and other), 70 pounds tongue weight. I'm pretty certain it'd feel like driving with a sail behind you.

yea not suppose to tow anything just like we have to drive with both hands on the steering wheel and give pedestrian the priority and not having sex before mariage.. I know all of that but as long as the trailer is fully secure to the car and I know how long I need to brake with a 800lbs trailer at 50km/h I am pretty sure I am not as dangerous on the road as the neighbour woth his f150 with a lift kit so high that his front bumper is higher than my roof:wink:
and I saw a yaris yesterday with a trailer with a snowblower in it and the trailer was not a tinny one!

Your neighbour's lift-kit likely isn't legal.
Search other towing threads. I've voiced myself enough elsewhere. Buy a trailer if you really want one, and rent a truck the two or three times a year you might actually pull it.

this is too cool. If can be pulled by a bike I doubt you'll get hasseled for pulling it with a Yaris.
