-1 for people too lazy to return the cart where it belongs - one of my biggest pet peeves!

i can't stand those people either... i always return my cart. i mean how hard is it really?

and while i don't go to walmart because i think it is quite possibly the worst managed store in the entire world, i too park as far away from any other cars as possible wherever i go. but from time to time i still come walking out to find some jackass parked right next to me and yeah that really pisses me off because that's exactly what i'm trying to avoid by parking in the boondocks. lol when i go to park my car at my apartments it's like this big calculated equation going on in my head where i'm trying to figure out the spot where my car is least likely to get fucked up. respect for other people's stuff shouldn't be so scarce imo but whatever.

sorry bout your car buddy. haven't received any scratches in my current ride but i have certainly had experiences like yours in the past.

probably more than a $500 dollar deductible... but not so much that it's worth your insurance going up.

To the op, on the other side, sometimes accidents actually just happen. It is not walmarts fault that someone did that.

while i do agree i also think, in the case of loose shopping carts in high winds, walmart could do a little more to prevent it. but really they don't care.

i guess this is kind of unrelated but a few years before i put walmart on my boycott list i was there in my old CRV about to leave and i see this group of 6-7 dumbass teenagers pushing each other around in shopping carts and running them into a few cars. i call the store from my cell phone and ask for a manager and explain the situation. they tell me they will check it out. so i sit out there and wait for a good 20 minutes and no one so much as steps out of the freakin entrance. the kids end up leaving on their own. that coupled with their inability to hire more than one cashier for each shift is why i don't bother with them. and not to be too snobby but i think walmart does attract a certain demographic also. this could also just be exclusive to my neck of the woods as well.

A couple of weeks ago, I was going getting ready to pull into a 'remote' parking place and I saw this man close the trunk of his car and walked to the door of his car as the cart rolled. He saw it rolling. I stopped just short of the cart hitting my car. I opened my window and said to the man, "You should have held that cart and returned it to the cart area." He said, "the parking lot has a slant and it's not my fault if carts roll." I muttered, "jerk." Went on my way to park far away from anyone.
As I was about to get out of my car, this same man is along side of my car, asking me if I wanted to make an issue of this with him. I told him to get away from the car or I would call the police. He stood there yelling about the slanted parking lot. I told him to get lost.
He then walked back to his car.

He was a nut for sure and wanted to fight me ! Unbelievable and the scarey thing is, the are these nuts out there and never know exactly what they will do.

oh, well, idk for sure... don't take my word for it... i think it depends on where you live... seems like the price of everything is inflated around here due to the oil and gas industry raping everyone right now.

I park in corner lots so that I reduce chances of damage to my car by half. The best lots are the single car lots. Touch wood, in two years I've owned the car, I've only got one bad door ding and a tiny light one, both in the rear doors. Although I did get hit and run twice, once on my mirror and once on the front bumper corner. Those are easier to just fix up by filling and painting them over.

aye nako!... dats why I always park as far away as I can from the main entrance and away from those cart storage rails.

I noticed that the farther I park away from the store/place I'm at, the more scratches/dings I'll get. So now I park where I want to park.
