new night pics

not the best pictures so i will take so more later...... how do i get them to come out clear, when its night with out a flash?

I use a tripod and turn off the flash. Then set the shutter to go off with a delay of however many seconds you can, so you can press it and the camera will stop moving before the picture is taken. If anything is moving in the background, it will blur; but anything stationary will come out as long as there is some light available.

Last Christmas I was able to get pictures of our house lights this way...
