Picked a couple of parts from Micro Image yesterday. Trd V4 lip kit,
Tanabe NF210 springs, rear disc brake conversion, and SSR Type
C 16x7 +42 bronze wheels with center caps. Going today
to get some price quotes for the paint and install of the lip kit. Thanks
again to Garm for providing great products and service. Also got my lug
nuts today and on the way are my tires, HID kit and Lexus IS-F shift knob

Something tells me you'll be shaking the money tree pending some pics.

Brian, you'll have one of the nicer sedans around when all is said and done. Uber rare kit, super sexy wheels, rear discs... yeah. Awesome.

Only thing I would have done differently is went with the DF's over the NF's. Go low or go home.

I got a quote from 1 shop and it'll be 900 and take a week to a week and a half. Still looking around though.

I learned my lesson from having the Vios spoiler and mesh grill painted at a shop. When I get this lip (or if Garm gets the Aeroklas kit), I'm painting it myself all for just 50 bucks, oppose to paying near $200. That 50 bucks should include primer, 1EO paint matched paint, and clear coat. The only thing I gotta worry about is not sanding it down properly.

I may be earning 80% of that of a nurse this summer, so I'll be working my @$$ and get some dough. First things I'm going for are probably the rear sway bar and a lip kit.

The NF's are only temporary. I wanna see how the drop looks with the wheels and lip kit then I'll make my decision
if I wanna change to the DF's or coilovers.

I was gonna paint it myself but I don't have the time or space to do it. So I'm just
gonna get it painted and installed with a warranty. I still have my
grille to paint too which I can do myself.

hehehe, yeah, space can be an issue, and time surely is. I don't have the time (or the money for a kit) right now, but I have my housemate's garage for space (he painted his 240 and his friend's Tacoma) in it.

Brian,

Glad you are happy with all the parts. I am very sorry I couldn't be at the shop to meet you and see you off with them -- I think I was dropping my Yaris off at Art's shop that day.

Notable: Brian fit ALL OF THAT into his car to take home -- Yaris FTW!

I appreciate the business very much - it's a super thin margin for car parts, but if the rent for the shop gets paid, I can keep it going.

Another shipment from Thailand on Monday -- some new stuff for you guys.

Thanks again Brian - your car is going to rock!

I wanted to buy some more parts when I was there but I don't think I could fit anything else.
I should be taking my car to the body shop this week for the lip kit. I thought I saw some new
sedan taillights at your shop but didn't take a good look. I hope you're getting more of the UR
braces in. Installed my 5000k HID kit today from xenon vision. Will post pics later.

I'm in lakeside. I'm gonna install the brakes after I get the lip kit installed. I will
probably do it at my brother's house in Moreno Valley because I can't do it at my
apartment. I'm surprised I haven't seen your car around.

Looks like I'll be doing all the prep work, painting, and installing of the lip kit myself.
Body shop are just gonna be to expensive and take too long. The front and rear lips
will be easy but the side skirts need to be straightened out which is gonna require
some fiberglass work. I may or may not use the side skirts. Haven't decided yet. Also
the edges of all the pieces need to be smoothed out. The kit is still very good quality
though just a lot of prep work to be done. As for the rear disc brake conversion and lowering
springs, I will try to one of them done this weekend.

Yeah, the side skirts have to be cut the ends where the 90 degree part is to fit properly. I don't think it'll be too bad.

Is it that much worse than when we "test fitted" them on my sedan? They didn't appear to look like they needed all that work.

Most of the work is around the edges. They need to be smoothed out and some bondo to fill in a couple of low spots.
