Hello!
Four days after I got my new Yaris a flying stone put a small hole in my windshield. I read some articles which stated that sometimes after a chip repair there will still be a blemish. I have no experience with this type of repair. I was hoping there can be a fix that won't leave a mark without having to replace the whole windshield. Looking in the yellow pages for a local glass repair shop, I find there are so many places.
Can anyone in Portland recommend a good, reasonably priced, auto glass repair shop? Thank you.

I would talk to your insurance company; I believe many times windshield stuff is covered 100%.

Regarding local companies, I'm really not sure; I've never had to replace a window out here.

That is true sometimes the repair does show , which means yes you have to replace your windscreen , just been through the whole repair and replacement thing , luckly i had glass insurance on my car , cost was nothing

Let me know how it goes. I too have a nice rock chip in need of a fix.

Call your insurance company, as recommended in the post I referenced. Most times it can be fixed if caught early, and unless it is in the line of sight it probably won't require a new windshield. However, if you leave it, it can and most likely will crack which will require a replacement.
