Yeah. When I got my windows tinted, i got one of those nifty clear bras put on the front. Not gonna lie, you cant see it at all. I have to point it out to people before they notice it, even when they are right next to my car. That will help with the front. :thumbup:

Black is the worse, yes. But like everyone else agrees, its very sexy when clean. Luckily, there are some affordable polishes that will fix almost any scratch.

Black can be tamed.

The thing about black is it looks one of the best when its clean. But gets dirty easy and scratches easily. For every pro theres usually a con.

Nautical Blue Metallic is also prone to tiny, but visible scratches. I adore the colour but it is difficult to keep pristine.

nah,you don't need all that,just some good old fashioned paste wax and elbow grease will get rid of the scratches.

Yeah, but that's more like filler wax. Wash the car a few times again and the scratches will be back. Hand polishing can never build the heat and friction a machine and it's accessories can to truly "correct" paint. When you are correcting and polishing paint, you are removing and blending clearcoat on an ultra-fine level (it never really hurts the car).

It's a machine and as such I expect it to get dings dents and scratches.
Personally, I don't get too excited about machine wear.

Black is my fav colour. Or um, the absence of colour I suppose.

I have an Ingersoll Rand polisher. I went through a few electrics which did the job but the air polisher gives me the torque I need, especially when cleaning up rims. I notice scratches more on metallic paints than I do on standard gloss. Most scratches can be buffed out in no time. Every spring and fall I give my vehicles the full Mothers treatment - hand wash; clay bar treatment; 3 step wax system. I only wax fixed windows (not including windshield) for safety. It takes the near part of a day to do the job correctly along with a full interior detail but the end result is excellent and if you keep up with the regular cleanings and waxing it can aid in resale value when the time comes.

This is the reason I went from a white civic, to a black civic, and now to a white Yaris. lol I will never own a black car ever again no matter how beautiful it looks. Just is way too hard to keep clean & looking great.

i prefer flint mica.... when its clean it gives a greyish black shine with a mutlicolor glare

Paint it a light color then. Clearcoat scratches will show up very easily on any dark color. If you're going to shell out bucks for a new paint job, get and extra layer (or thicker layer) of clear as well.

Silver dose not show the dirt and hides the scratches.

The metallic blue is showing a lot more than I thought it would.
