If I have a battery in the back with my amps, can I use a smaller gauge wire to connect it to the front than I would have to use to connect any amps to the front battery?

I.E., if I have a system with 2100W and I have a 0 gauge wire running to the back, if I stick a battery in the back, could I reduce this to a 4 guage wire without hampering the system?

you still have to run a wire back up to the engine bay ;)

are you asking if you can use a 4GA to do this? if so, no... you still need to recharge your battery at the same rate whether it's near the alternator and far from the amp or vice versa.
