New Wheels and TRD springs tires rub

Well since iam not a car guy i went to Tiremax had my new set of wheels and tires installed..now i told them and they seem to understand that i was going to be putting the trd springs that will lower the vehicle about 1.2" so i went with the 16x7 Montegi Racing sx5 chrome plated with 35 offset...

But where they screwed up i think is in the tires they said the 205/55/16's will work just fine...well obviously not so now iam coming to the pros what should i tell them the size tire i need to put on this so i dont get any rubbing...

The sad thing is i really like the taller sidewall on the vehicle expecially now that is lowered...And i have not been able to pin point where the tires are rubbing...

Do yall think a 205/50/16 will be small enough or am I gonna have to go with 45's which if is the case i would like to see if i can just go 17" then...

I would try 50s,I have 205/45/17 with 40 off set on mine with DF springs and it rubs on big dips,but looks great and rides great,your offset might be too much for what you have,as it is pushing the tires way out.

Two places they screwed up; tyres are too tall, plus ET35 is too low an offset for the Yaris with 205mm tyres.

So, you're going to rub with any 205mm tyre with that offset, plus your set-up will poke out up front and just look bloody crude.

Best I can recommend here is don't run 205's. Go with the JDM OEM tyre size 195/50/16. That should help quite a bit, and it will work pretty well with the drop.

How heavy are those Motegi rims?? And yeah, +35 is way too much! If taking the wheel back is not an option, try to run a smaller tire like kimona says. Sorry you're having fitment issues... booo to Tiremax!
