The Singapore Yaris/Vitz Club hooked up with the local dealer for Hankook tires to organize an event to let our club members sample the Hankook V12 Evo. I personally feel that that's the best way to sell tires by letting people see/feel/hear it for themselves. We had a turnout of over 15 cars of both JDM Vitz and Thai Yaris. Predictably for Singapore, it rained and I did my test circuit in terrible conditions. But the best part of the meetup was meeting up, talking and trying out other owners' mods, exchange of experiences and just meeting new faces.

cool!!!

I really like that pacific blue color, would have been my third choice after white

but the question is... how well did the tires do in wet conditions?

The V12 Evos seem to be great for the money. They were offered to us at US$70 apiece in 195/55/15, and are comparable in wet weather to my 12,000mi old Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 tires, while being quieter and cheaper. However these tires are newer, so you do expect the rubber is more supple and hence the lower road noise.

According to the shop representative, Hankook RS2 tires offer better outright grip in dry weather, but aren't as good as these V12 Evos in wet conditions, due to the RS2 having less grooves.

so will these be offered worldwide or just asia for now?

They seem to be available in Canada at least. You might want to speak your your nearest dealer about it?

Man, with a shop like that one who wouldn’t be changing rims at least once a year, BTW very nice rims!

You know...when I see how developed the Yaris model is in other countries, I get mad a Toyota for giving us a great car with very little options. Why do other countries get such great options?

The unique mod is the sunroof -- although that J's Style wing is pretty unique for us too.

I'd like to know where I can get that rear window visor/rear window spoiler on that white sedan in the future.

As for the rims, there are many brands that make that style.

Similar, but not the same rims (Enkei ES6):

More likely the Boosts. If they're 16's, then by looking at the first link I posted earlier, you have three choices

16 x 6.5 4 x 100 +45
16 x 7 4 x 100 +40
16 x 7 4 x 100 +45

I want to say choice number 2 for flushness. hehe.

a bit off-topic, but that tire shop seems like a great place to chill at.
