Hello everyone

I am new to this forum and just recently bought my first car.

It is a 2007 Toyota Yaris 1 Ltr

My question is if anyone knows what the standard tired pressure should be for the my car?

I think it is 32psi but I would be grateful if you could help me.

should say in the doorjam what pressure to run... :)

32-34 should work ok

The tires have a max pressure number on them. I use that minus 2lbs for (what I feel is) best grip and best fuel mileage, without overstressing the tires.

max pressure on a tire is for seating beads....

do NOT run your tires at 48psi lol

High Pressure = Best mileage(FE)
Low Pressure = Best Grip

should be qualified:

too-high pressure, best mileage, no grip, improper tire wear

too-low pressure: better grip in a straight line (softer sidewall) but worse grip laterally (softer sidewall) improper tire wear

optimal pressure: best compromise of economy and grip.

"Optimal pressure: best compromise of economy and grip." I thought that is what I said; it is what I meant to say. I am getting good grip and excellent FE by running my OEM tires ~4lbs over recommended pressure, with no unusual tire wear pattern.

Then the whole thing goes sideways when you see what the hyper-miler guys are running!

This is what you said. I don't know about your tyres, but mine indicate a maximum tyre pressure of 50PSI. So, 50-2 = 48PSI... which would be somewhat overinflated. If I inflated my tyres to 48PSI, I'd be bouncing all over the road like a basketball!

and just a follow up question. should I have each tire at the same psi eg 32 psi on all 4 tires?

And I cant seem to find it written anywhere around the door :(

Should have a label affixed to the driver's door jamb that indicates tyre pressures and loads. Label on my Vitz clearly indicates 32PSI front/rear.
