Rear Tails

Well here I go, found a pair of original taillights for under a $100. Going to get them tinted by a friend at a bodyshop. I will keep the orginals just in case I get a ticket. Will show pictures at soon as I get them installed. Hopefully in a couple of days. This will give me a black sand pearl all around with windows at 20.% :smile:

Can't wait to see the finished pics. There's another member with the black sand pearl that smoked his lights with the same paint and it turned out really good.

I am planning on getting a black yaris, and think the smoked/tinted lights look is awesome.

I wanted to ask; when you tint it, the red light still shows through when it turns on, it just doesn't look red when the light is not on correct?
Why can you get a ticket for it then?? Does the tint block out the light, or do cops want to see your light even when its not on?
I don't get it.

I want my car to look perfect in my eyes.. I just don't care to get tickets. For example I really wish I could tint all the windows but I'm only going to do the back =(

I thought the light tinting wasn't illegal since the pics I've seen show that the red light still gets through the tint!

Yeah, that was OrangeDakota. you can't really notice that he even has tails until he uses them! haha
