Hey everyone, so I recently got my 3-door liftback black Yaris and I am going to be getting the windows tinted soon! However, I have no idea what the CA laws are for tinting? AND, I was wondering you could post your pics of your tinted Yari so I'll have an idea of what it looks like, as well as the specs that you got for tinting!

The law is NO tinting allowed at all in the front windows or the windshield. You can do what you want with the rear quarter panels and the rear window.

However, almost no one leaves their front windows alone when doing window tint all around, I think mine are 30% front.

I got mine 50 percent in the front and 35 in the rear. Depending on what you tint the rear will affect how the front looks. Usually as long as you have some transparency in the front cops wont hassle you at all. My other car has 35 all around and ive only got pulled over once and when the cop got to me he was like oh. Well itlooked much darker from far away. Just asked me what i was diong and my license and sent me on my way. Didnt even ask me to remove it. So really all depend son the cop and depends on what area you are in. If you are in a area with a lot of ahole cops i would recomend not tinting the front at all then.

you forgot to mention that if you do have anything really dark on back widow, you MUST have both mirrors... i have 20% all around
