in hawaii thats illegal but I had 35% on my windshield and 18% all around

It's awesome. makes the car look more dangerous

btw hawaii law is no tint on windsheild, and 35% all around 5% on back windows and rear window on trucks and SUVs

you might want to check with your local rules too

saw that on another thread. i got 30% in front, 15% in back and on the hatch, nothing on the 'shield. i want to go darker myself. the only reason i didn't in the first place is because the shop doing it wouldn't go darker than the law would allow.

I want to get tints too but I read in IL, I can't even have a small bit in the front or front sides. I am worried its going to look really bad having none whatsoever in the front and dark tint in the back.

What kind of prices has everyone gotten? I am wondering if I should ask the dealership or go find somewhere else that would be cheaper.

The only advice I can give is that my cousin has tinted his car all around (really dark, don't know percents, and said he's gotten lots of tickets... but he says it like its a cool/proud thing. So check out whats legal unless you think tickets are 'cool!'

here's a thread on what other people have paid: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6781&highlight=tint+prices

for me, i got llumar tints all around (excl windshield) for $99, normally $109, with a lifetime warranty. i've only had them for a few weeks, but so far so good!

i paid up front to have a local shop that id trust ANYTHING to, to do it today. paid $100, wherever i want it, however dark i want it.

hmm
i dont understand the windshield category there
it says thee same thing for each state
and no percentage shown
all it says is "Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line"

i would go with 20% all around and 35% in the front. 50% would be too light

hi i was just pulled over saterday 30% here in oregon is law mine tested 18% oh well mixing shades on side windows will not look as nice as keeping them all the same shade as far as the front ibrow 7 inches is max length thats oregon law mine is longer than that !! another thing just incase some of you run a plastic cover over the rear lisc. plate not even clear is legal you cannot cover it at all with anything . many years ago i use to get these kind of tickets way to often i thaught i knew the laws guess they have changed a bit . if you go to your eye doctor he can right you a priscription for the tinted windows and having them under 30% is legal . i will be working on that soon oh i never got the ticket but im in oregon they are pretty cool in this town .
