I tried the search thing not a lot of help. Maybe I'm not seeing it but it would be awesome to know exactly where to position it. It's an oem badge part number 75312-52050. Any help would be great and hopefully this will help some other people out.

Thanks in advance

Are you talking about the one on the grill?

I put mine on with double stick tape. otherwise you will have to remove front bumper

^ That is how most people attach it on the USDM car

Seriously? Wow I was under the impression that it just clipped in. Makes sense that it doesn't but no one's been able to just get it to clip in?

So the best way to securely put it on would be to break off some of the tabs and use a bracket on the back side of the grille and screw it to the badge through one of the openings?

The tape will hold on well used in conjunction with some of those clips.. My badge never clipped into my 09 grille either =\

.. even though I see 09 Canadian RS models have the same badge clipped in place.. =S

thanks for all the help guys. I have 2 bumpers (1 for auto-x) so at the first even when I switch, I'll rig up something behind the grille to hold it.

Off topic here, but do you switch bumpers every time you auto-x? How does that affect the mounting tabs and such? Any durability concerns? Reason I'm asking: I'm thinking about getting a fancy, lower bumper for summer, and putting the stocker back on for winter. In your experienced opinion, how do you think that would work out, switching twice a year?

Thanks!

i used to take the bumper off every spring and fall on my xrs to remove the oem lip kit...never had a problem

the yaris is all clips too....its super easy to exchange...

I'll have to agree with thebarber, but in my experience the under shield on the bottom is a pain in the a$$ so I've been thinking about ripping it off. On the sides where it clips in the tabs on the bumper are kind of flimsey but the part on the car is removable and can be replaced fairly cheaply if you break or wear those out. Just take your time and don't just rip it off a nice firm tug and it will pop out.

Nice! Thanks!

Oh, and re: OEM RS emblems... the hexagonal plastic grill on North American Yarises are different than the rest of the world... ours are more stretched vertically. So if you got the OEM badge from (say) Thailand, it won't clip on our grille... maybe theirs. If you had a Canadian RS badge, it should fit the North American grille.

Here's my JDM RS badge on the US grille. I cut off most of the clips and used a screw and large washer to secure it from behind. You have to remove the bumper.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. This should defiantly help some people out.

really appreciate all the help.

I believe the JDM RS badge has different clip/pin locations to the Canadian RS badge..

Because my JDM RS badge did not fit on my 09 grille properly, even though I tried to fit it in the same position as the 09 Canadian RS.

I thought the echo had a different 'RS' badge?

Echo:

Yaris:

Or did the later model Echo's get the newer 'RS' badge?

That's the JDM RS badge (2nd above) I have. I shaved the right and left side clips of the back with an exacto knife (piece of cake), and left the round center pin in place (which already has a hole in it) Then, I simply threaded the pin with a self-tapping screw, and added a big metal washer and smaller rubber washer to secure it from behind the grillework.

It would have been much easier to just get a pus-fit Canadian RS badge, but they were beaucoup expensive at the dealer in Montreal!
