Hi Guys,

I did a quick search on the forums for engine weight and came up with nothing substantial. Anyone pull out the engine on this thing yet? What's it weight about w/o the transmission?

enough to lift, but heavy... thats about as good as i can give you. It was easy to load into the back of a truck with me and a friend of mine. this site says 187 lbs.... http://my.prostreetonline.com/t852.htm

I'd buy that

Suprisingly light, Two people can lift one quite easily. I would have guessed about 80 kg without all the accessories (starter motor, ac compressor etc) on it.

next time mine's out i'll weigh it for y'all..

but i don't want to hear one single peep of "oh, that's from an ECHO, so it can't be right" lol..

i'll even take off the powersteering pump to make it more accurate :D

stay tuned for later this week!

I heard it was pretty light too. 187lbs is what i read somewhere. Which is really light for a motor considering the fact that an SR20 is somewhere around 400lbs i'm guessing:iono:

The RX7 engine is about that weight. 180~.

Btw, no way a SR20 would weigh that much.

I was just guessing on that weight. All i know is that the SR20 is one heavy ass motor me and a friend couldn't even move it or pick it up. We were able to pick up a B18B with no problem, walked it across a parking lot. We tried that with an SR20 when we were doing his swap. Couldn't do it
