Hello everyone, I think the sound system that came with my yaris is rather...weak.. so i was wondering has anyone or does anyone know if you could add more speakers to the car? Can you update the speakers? I want to be able to turn the volume up loud enough without fear of blowing the speakers, because right now with the Toyota system im afraid to turn it up past 40 because it just sounds weird like its going to go.

check out the audio section. i myself have put it a new head unit, 6.5" speakers all around, an amp and 10" sub. its not hard to do if you know how.

If I had a choice of having:
1) 4 good speakers added in addition the 4 stock speakers
2) Just 4 good speakers that replaced the 4 stock speakers
Then I'd definitely choose #2.

It's like...:
1) Group of 8 singers which has 4 good singers and 4 bad singers
2) Group of 4 singers which has 4 good singers

the reason yur speakers sound bad at around 40 isnt because the speakers are crap yu can put 300 dollar speaker all around it will still sound bad. the reason being yur factory deck only pushes out 20 watts per speaker. Give a new deck a try yu will her an increase in quality and volume. if yu still want more upgrade speakers if you still want more get a 4 channel amp

ya, dont do speakers unless you want to change the cd player, or vice versa, its pointless

I changed out all four of my speakers and hooked them up to an 4 channel amp, SQ went up at least 4 fold. But check out the audio section, plenty of topics on this there.

I really like the stock radio. It has a good quality but ofcourse it doesn't sound really loud cause it's a stock one but for indoor hearing it's great I can't argue with that.
