So I want these tail lights but I cannot afford an unexpected ticket bill.

I saw this thread on another forum....

If I added a reflective license plate holder then that would solve my problem, correct?

i had those lights for a while and never had an issue with cops

they look OEM

Yeah, most cops won't even realize that it's not factory, much less DOT compliant.
I wouldn't worry about it really.

if you had altezza lights, it's much more eye candy to cops.

you could get some red 3M reflective tape and cut out a wedge, and stick it onto the little triangular corner on the inside bottom area...
