Lowering help?!? How low to go.

Well my fiance got a Yaris last night, and we already wanna work on it, she went from a modifed mustang, that was just to big for her to this little cute 5 door.

We are going with either some 16's or 17's possibly 18's depending on offset.

But we wanna go low without coilovers.

What springs get the lowest?

I believe they're the lowest advertised drop.

If memory serves;
DF210 = -1.8"
Tien = -1.5"
TRD = -1.2" (mine had dropped to about -1.5" after a month of use) :thumbup:
Eibach = -1.0"

Can't recall the spec for NF210, -1.25 perhaps??? :iono:

NF210 - 1.1/1.3
DF210 - 1.6/1.8
Sprint - 1.75/1.75
Tein - 1.9/1.9
Megan Racing - 1.5/1.5
Progress - 1.7/1.8
Eibach - 1.0/1.0
TRD USA - 1.2/1.2 (red)
TRD Sportivo - 1.0/1.0 (white)
TTE - 1.2/1.2

Some of them are approximates, as the figures are given in mm, so I've rounded it up/down. Hope that helps.

I thought about the Eibach ProKit(1" drop front/rear), everybody reccomends them, they should be a good choice, at a good price(a little over $200)...I'm wondering...is the 1" drop noticeable..does it improve handling? :iono:

I went with the TRD springs and the drop is noticeable, so that the tire and wheel well line up nicely. The handling (I also got the TRD rear anti-sway bar at the same time) is great. The car doesn't feel so top heavy now.

I don`t think the DFs go with the my diesel yaris... all springs manufacturers offer different springs for petrol/diesel cars... :confused:
For example, H&R have 29126-2(for diesel) and H&R 29126-1(petrol)...same with Eibach!

don`t be jealous...i hate diesel, but it's great for crowded cities like bucharest. it's the first and the last diesel i get! ... even though it does 0-62 in ~10.7 s. :cool:
