This tire has probably been posted before and I am too lazy to look through all the threads so I apologize if I steped on anyones toes, however I thought they were interesting.

These tires are made in South Carolina , USA

SEE THROUGH TIRES

Radical new tire design by Michelin.
The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

Yes, those are spoke like connections to the inner part of the tire from the outside tread wrap! The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion....

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these. Just think of the impact on existing technology:

A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin.

i actually talked with michelin about 4 days ago and they said that the tire is 8 years out, MINIMUM... they said that they were having issues with both noise and heat(oddly enough)... not ready for consumer testing, but they are working on it

I don't really see this happening in the market (at least not commonplace).

- They're ugly
- Probably too costly
- Noise and heat issues
- Looks like they flex too much (causing drag and sloppy handling)
- They're ugly

don't forget that cops will NOT like them..... spike strips ineffective...

Lol, just another company looking to reinvent something that doesnt need to be, We have radial tires of today, then came along runflats (noisy and horrible performance), then comes these tweel things, (noisy, ugly, and prolly suck on a track)...keep trying again, Ill stick with what I got now.
