Hey Jah,

When you purchased your liftback from Milton Martin Toyota did they charge you sticker price or were they flexible. I live in Dallas Georgia and plan to start the purchase process at the end of May so any input will be greatly appreciated.

They did come down a few hundred off list, but not much. I spent alot of time on the Toyota website searching the Southeast inventory looking for what I wanted. I did drive to the Gainesville, Gwinnett (two different Toyota dealers, and Marretta dealers to see what they actually had on the lot). Bottomline, I wasn't willing to settle on the color, I wanted Red or Brilliant blue, if I was willing to back off on that, I think I could have got a bit more off the price.

It's great to see another member of the board acquiring a new Yaris. Congrats why?

Remember to remove the dealership decal on the rear hatch. Personally I cannot stand when they put decals advertising the dealership. If they are going to pay for a portion of the cost to display their name on your/my car I will gladly leave it on.
Plus once the decal hardens with age it becomes a bear to remove.
Just my 2cents

Why? How are they putting in the tach? I was thinking about getting software for my CE PDA to read the OBDII data, assuming the Yaris has a OBDII connector. Wonder if you would get RPM from that. I know on the CivicSI it had the OBDII and wideband sensor to get all kind of data from the cars computers. Don't know squat about this kinda stuff, don't want to change stuff just look at RPM, temps, maybe pressures in the fuel injections :drool:

All cars are pre-wired for a tach anyways, since most of the rest of the world has one standard.

They just have to find the specific wire and hook it up to it.

It is for emergency towing. You remove the cover and install a towing eyelet so you can safely tow your car. The instructions are on page 242 of your Owner's Manual

Yes you are right. I've just checked out my stock tach for you and the red line is at exactly 6,500. The red zone ranges from 6,500 to 8,000.

This past sunday I saw for the first time on the road a Yaris liftback! It was a red one! I was so excited! Sad I know! I drove past it on the highway, man did it look amazing! although i wished i got +35 on the back, it could sit a little flusher, the fronts are perfect though

I love how this car can run on E10 as E10 here in Australia comes with a higher octane rating than normal unleaded but it's also 4 cents a litre cheaper than normal unleaded.

The diesel engine is great for fuel economy... i get 4 litres / 60 miles, that's almost 60 mpg(i guess), with a 45 mph average speed.

I will ... I just finished lowering the car with df210...it rides smoothly.... it's the easiest lowering job I ever done :biggrin: took me less than 2 hours including uninstall the anoying plastic cover in the front .
