I know these are available in Russia and Australia and probably other countries, but not the US. Is there anyone out there who lives in a country where these are available?
For those people who do live in such a country, what do you think of the idea of being able to provide people in other countries these digital climate control clusters? I know I'd buy up a set and their required accessories (like a new air box, wiring, etc) faster than Superman can run.

we have a digital cluster... not sure what you mean by climatic controlled ones???
Our digital clusters dont even have a climatic control or a temp monitor btw

He is talking about the auto climate control equipment, not the clusters. I have wanted to do this mod from the very first second I layed my eyes on a euro-yaris with that accessory.
LOOK AT THIS TOPIC I ALREADY POSTED ON THIS MOD FOR INFO.
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11826
I REALLY WANT THIS MOD to happen!
As soon as I get my yaris, I will be working on all three things mentioned in my post.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about. We just need to find a couple of people from a country that does have this option to purchase the set from a dealer and sell it to people who really want it, like me and computerlove87.

Let me do some research. I am working on getting some other parts from Europe now, so I will try to assess if the climate controls are compatible with our AC system and if so, will get part numbers and prices.
I don't think anything would make me happier then being able to select a temperature, instead of constantly fidgeting with the dials...

Hell, even if they're not compatible with our AC system, it doesn't matter to me. I'm prepared to spend up to $1000 on the whole swap.
I know the new Volkswagen Rabbit isn't compatible with the GTI/R32's digital climate control; you'd have to replace the air box and some air hoses and obviously some wiring. When I was thinking of buying a Rabbit, I looked into the price of a total swap. For Volkswagen parts it cost $930 not including labor. These are Toyota parts, so it should be significantly cheaper :D

Actually, Japan may be a better place to start. Here are the parts that I believe are needed for the conversion (if you could check on pricing/availability for us):
55900-0D210-B0 Control Assy, Air Conditioner
(This is the entire center dash assembly including the "knobs", electronics, and trim)
87106-0D020 Servo Sub Assy, Damper (For Airmix)
87106-0D040 Servo Sub Assy, Damper
87106-0D030 Servo Sub Assy, Damper (For Mode)
(These three replace the manual dampers with ones which are controlled by the above part)
82212-52020 Harness Assy, Air Conditioning, LHD
(I believe that this is the entire cable assembly, including connections to the above and below parts)
88625-47031 Thermistor Cooler (Solar Sensor)
(Sensor mounted under upper dash)
(This part is available in the US, as it is used on many other cars)
88625-22131 Thermistor Assy
(Sensor mounted in front bumper)
88625-47021 Thermistor, Cooler
(Sensor mounted behind AC controls)
(This part is available in the US, as it is used on many other cars)
88650-0D160
(This is the AC control module, which is mounted to the bottom of the AC assembly)

I wonder if there are any Toyota mechanics out there that would be able to confirm that these are all the parts we need, or if we're missing anything? I'm surprised that there aren't like a hundred different parts, but rather relieved.

The sedan uses a different "Control Assy, Air Conditioner" for the automatic climate control. I have not been able to find the part number for the Sedan (Belta) version.

Man, North America keeps getting shafted when it comes to cool Japanese things. For example: the skyline gt-r (before the r35), kei cars, and digital everything for the interiors of cars. Gah!

because Americans always believed in their F350, and most don't have the mind of "fuel economy". Also, owners have such big lawns, they can afford big cars for the big parking spot they have.
Japan is very small (so is most of Europe), the small size cars help in finding parking spot and are very good at zoom zoom around town.

I received the pricing info for the parts from Danish Yaris, who works for Toyota in Denmark.
The total price is over $2600. This is definitely cost prohibitive, especially since there is no evidence that anyone has attempted the conversion before...

you dont have to get somebody to send you the parts
go to toyota and give them the part number and they will ship it in
i just call up my buddy at toyota and he orders them for me all the time
some dealers tell you "they cant" but as long as they have a part number it can be ordered

Can he order parts that are not for cars in your region (i.e. JDM or European parts)? The parts guy that I deal with said that he can order any USDM parts, but can not order parts from the other regions.

yea that is a cool upgrade, too bad nobody has been able to swap out the clusters

yes he could prob get everything but be ready to shell out large quanities of money
usually with those types of swaps its verry expensive to swap due to needing all the extras to make it fuction right

Individual car parts are significantly marked up (>3x actual cost). I just bought a set of 09 fog light trim pieces (the plastic pieces that surround the fog lights) for $28 each from my local dealership. Those probably cost under $2 each to manufacture...

Take a look at the parts list on the first page. There are 8 parts need, besides the controls, and they are located under the dash and under the hood. I agree that junkyard parts would be the best way to test if this will work, but it might take a bit to get all of the needed parts.

heres a nice photo of how the manual controls work vs the digital controls and how their setup differently via ebay:
digital:

manual:
http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/LD4AAOSwtYxZiUZi/s-l1600.jpg
this is why I hate USDM models, their so much more complex. that digital control piece is literally a solid module so if it breaks you just swap it out.
EDIT: you can also reference the GSIC for the mk3 for the digital ac control assembly for the euro model which is basically what we are doing here.
