OK, not to be over critical , but there has to be something done about all this spam. I cant believe how often and fast these #$#%Tsuckers get in here. I thought that with the server upgrade there would be an increase in security and a drop in spam , but this is a complete 180. Please try and do something about it.

Just keep reporting it for now guys. Were doing our best to keep up. What I don't understand is why I get PMs from genuine people who can't seem to post on the site, while the spammers don't seem to have this problem. :iono:

The amount of spam on our site or any given site really has no relationship to the physical server/hardware....

SPAM is on the rise all over the internet right now.. it goes in waves and we are on a high wave of theirs.. today alone 73 spam account attempts were blocked, so..... what you are seeing is the small percentage that gets through and we rely on reporting of whatever spam you see get through and get posted on the forums

Thanks for the update YB, its just that this last week the site has been almost under constant attack and it seems to fall always when no mods are around. I realize that spam has no relation to server/hardware more the safety protocols maybe a change in the security software is needed?

Consider this....99% of us post because we enjoy it and the spammers are doing it for money...... it's their job!

except when we're talking off topic , we keep it in contained in one thread most of the time, this morning there were at least 20 threads peddling "Female teat treatments"

and half of the spam has nothing to do with marketing its there to cause annoyance

Spam is an important source of information for Bob, without it, he would never know how to get larger breasts!

But seriously, if what we deal with publicly here is just the tip of the iceberg, damn, i weep for the internet...

Oh that's easy for me...... all I have to do is smile and they are attracted to me!! Must be my natural baldness!!!

I am not defending spam but, I will defend the people who are "working" to make a living. You know the other day I bought a lottery ticket and I have been sending emails out to all the spammers asking if they would like a part of it........ they just need to provide me with all of their personal information and send me a small finders fee! :headbang:

Dude! I was planning on having dinner later! :barf:

IMO as long as there are products and services out there, there will always be advertising and marketing. Spam is here to stay unfortunately. As much as we can't stand it, we're just gonna have to keep finding new ways to fight it.

Haven't seen too much spam on YW, so that must mean members are doing a great job of keeping their eyes open when the mods can't be here, who are also doing a great job of keeping the garbage at bay. Thanks everyone

..I'm bored. Gonna go harass my neighbor now...

If a spammer has the nuts to post in this thread, we should leave it. Just for fun. :bellyroll:
