Greetings Friends.
Well the anticipation is over. I popped my first fuse. Dunno how but for some reason there was some electricity left in my RCA cables coming from the stereo going to amp and .When I unplugged them (rca cables) from Amp in the trunk to tie them together, +/- touched, couple of sparks and next thing i know the stereo doesn't turn on. everything else seems to be find. weird i know.

I didn't get a chance to look into it since it turns dark down here in san diego around 7:00 in march. Anyway, I know there are 3 fuse boxes in the car. So what I would love to find out is which one of the 3 fuseboxes I need to look into to see if the Stereo's fuse is blown & not being greedy but just wondering does any1 know which 1 is the 1 for the stereo.

Thank you all.

Check the fuse box under the dash on the driver's side. There is a diagram of the fuses on the cover.

Thanks for the quick responses. It's dark so I tried my best with a flashlight.
A. I took out the Glassholder plastic thingy and no diagrams on it.
B. I removed the Plastic Piece all the way down where left foot rests. again nothing.
C. Finally the fuse box in the engine, it has a diagram on the cover.
In there, the only fuse sign that makes sense is the one that says RIO on it (30A).
Is that the fuse I need to replace. I hope there's spare in there.

Thanks again.

I'm not sure but I think the radio is powered by the ACC fuse. Disregard the red ovals I added for another post.

Good News (Bad News) I found the fuse thanks to you all.
It's FUSE NUMBER 28 IN THE MANUAL (RED 7.5A).

Guess i will be heading to kragen's or such to get the fuses.

So, which one is fuse number 28? I lost my cover and fuse removal tool months ago.

when you go... if the store doesn't have 7.5amp fuses.... be sure to buy a lower value and NOT A HIGHER one. Fuses hardly ever pop unless there is actually a problem... so you don't want to risk a fire by going with a slightly bigger fuse.

(posting this more for anybody browsers who doesn't already know that than for those posting on this thread)

Finally. Only Autozone had the package (7.5,10,15,20...) for like 3.50$.
no other place had these low profile fuses. I just hope other fuses are intact.

THANKS AGAIN.
next step: install dynamat on rear deck. whi...................

The radio is fed by the ACC fuse (pictured in post #7 above and it is under the bottom of the dash, just behind the lever for opening the hood) and the DOME fuse (in the under hood fuse box, and you will see its position on the inside of the cover of the fuse box).

It's probably not being said often enough, but all hail CTSCott, for reals.

Traded my Yaris in for a tC and I sure as hell wasn't gonna give away my Pioneer AVX-2600 with GPS add-on. So I grabbed a cheap (although actually quiet nice) DUAL branded one from O'Reillys or possibly AutoZone, and swapped that in real quick. Blew the dome and radio fuse in the process because I was in a hurry, wheeee, sparks! but this thread and his post helped me fix that right away.

Wanna laugh? The dealer actually offered me a job installing stereos for them because of the speed with which I produced such a nice looking result. I politely declined. If it was all Yarisses, standard radio openings, and color coded wiring, and not totally out of the way of both my office and my house, I might have considered it ;)

TL;DR: stuff learned from Scott got me a job offer today.
