Finally got some time to clean and wax my car. I originally thought that this place would have been a nice place to take pics, but I got disappointed. But anyway, here are the pics. Same deal as with all my picture threads.

Thank Phenoyz. I thought I was going to be able to be right next to the river, but was unable to. I was disappointed, but this is still one of the better places near my are to take pics in. hahahaha.

*drool* very nice! I keep using crappy glass surface wipes to get rid of rain and dirt quickly.. going to get someone to wax it but the weather is supposed to be bad this whole week, don't want it to rain the day after its waxed >.<

LOL. I need to figure out how I can not be in the pic. hahaha. I should start using my zoom lens. hahahaha. I believe you're more anal than I am.:laugh::laugh: j/k.

The only problem with that color is the scratches stick out like a sore thumb, you can see every little flaw.

yup.. i dont doubt it..

Yeah, I love the color, but I hate the fact that any scratch, even light ones, will become eye sores. You should see my front bumper...damn debris on the freeway! It looks like the surface of the moon!

Thanks

I like to wax it before a long rainy period because it'll make washing it the next time a little easier. hehehe. But it does suck seeing a hard day's work of waxing go away after it rains.

Hey, I know that place! Looks a thousand times better in your pictures. Your sedan is HOT! <sizzle> I look forward to meeting up with you, comparing notes and having dual Flint Mica sedans in a photo shoot. Twice as nice! Hmmmm...I like that front lower air-splitter and the center exit exhaust. Waaay cool!

03-26-2009, 12:55 PM
Thanks, Herb. hahahaha. You're sedan is hot too! May be we can do a photoshoot at CSUS at night when all the students are gone. The splitter is really easy to do if you're interested.

What do you mean by surroundings?

My tires are 205/40/17 on 17x7" with an offset of +40. I have a slight rub on freeway dips. I don't rub at the back tho.

Thanks! That could work. I also was thinking of a place up out of Auburn, towards Foresthill and beyond. This would put us up in the forest with a possible backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Plus it would be a fun drive! Do a Google map of Foresthill, Ca and you'll see the road I'm talking about. There are a couple of lakes back in there too.

Yeah, I'm interested in the splitter and how to do it.

Downloading Google Earth right now. hehehe. Yeah, that'll be a sweet spot to take pics in.

I'll help you out with the splitter, but there is drilling involved, just to let you know ahead of time. hehe.

I only saw the one kit on here? Also, I'd like to keep the price under 1k after paint. (No clue of aftermarket kit pricing as you can tell)

Which kit, the TRD V4 kit? OEM kits will be almost be twice as much as aftermarket kits. You can always paint the kit yourself, which is what I'm planning to do once I get a kit.

Those pics looks amazine, I especially love your front spliter that makes the car so much lower. The rear end looks very clean with the center exhaust and TRD badget.

Great car as always KL !!!

Thanks for the help....so the trd v4 kit is the only one for sale in the states? or at least on yaris world? Also, do you remember what that one website was where you can get oem paint in spray cans and such?

The V4 is the only kit (non OEM style) here on YW. Oh, I had mine painted at a shop, but I'll be getting my spray cans from a local paint shop. I'll give them my tow hook cover for a week, and they'll paint match and put the paint in spray cans. I'm sure there should be a paint shop around your area that does the same.
