well i finally got it in.. got this from gerry creator of jetstream intake system..about a month ago but didnt have a chance to put it on till today..all due to toyota had to fix some idling issue that i had..the main reason i got this is to due local access and unique design..believe me this thing did not disappoint me once i saw it live...anyways here's my take on this..

*sleek design definitely original..talking about the reverse cone on the tube.

*short ram cold air intake..gerry found a spot on that corner where for this intake to pull some cold air. proven after about an hour drive mid pipe remain cool to the touch but everything else is warm including the walls on the battery.

*half usa made half canadian. rubber tubes and i believe oiled filter itself is made in usa and pipe and filter cover is canadian based. unfortunetely what they are made of only PRM can tell you..

*took about 25 minutes to install including unstalling stock box. final setup is sturdy no brackets needed the whole piece is held by the rubber tube at the end right by the intake manifold..

on the road: bare in mind i got k&n filter on stock box to compare this to.

*took it to 85 km/hr playin between 2nd and 3rd gear. pull was great once i hit 3500revs and up..

*sound is not too far from my stock box w/ K&n filter on it although i dont have the tube running on the stock box. on the prm intake there is still an added rev noise once you stomp on the gas.

*so far overall very happy with this intake..no need to reset ecu , no cel issue either , i had the rev drop to 450-500 rpm at the beginning on idle but after driving its back to normal.

*just took this on the highway and all i can say is WOW!! the grunt and pick up is actually there..."brisky" is the word downshifting ,upshifting and all i can say is excellent choice of an intake no regrets... i guess the straight pipe helped a lot compare to stock box w/ K&n on it..

is the price on the site CAD or USD?

either way...cripes...looks good though.

I would hope it would come with some sort of bracket sometime...that silicone connector is going to fatigue no matter what and eventually give.

eh, it really depends on how far the filter construction goes into the connector and how heavy the filter portion is. the connector could also be quite rigid. it's hard to say what exactly will happen over time.

The silicone connector is multi-layered and braided. It will take a long time for it to fatigue.

The entire unit is very light, and if you watch the video, I'd be more concerned about a mounting bracket causing the connector to pull away from the throttle body as the intakes movement would be restricted. Without a mounting bracket, the unit is allowed to move freely with the engine.

If you have a bracket mounted to the engine or trans (logically )
you wouldn't have to worry about the maf moving at all or fatigue at all;
but like I said fatigue will set in sooner than later because the silicone is what is holding the intake in the position it is in.

example I can think of is you're holding a balloon by the place you blow air into it. Your hand is the engine and the balloon is the intake....keep your hand still on a windy day and watch the balloon move around everywhere.

by the way I'm not opposed to the intake at all I'm just providing my constructive criticism and I'm not trying to be negative at all
(after all you can't 'read' text)

I like the built in velocity stack to smooth incomming air.

wicked highway run today..although i would like for you guys to hear it so ill try to do another run today with a friend to take a video while i push this beast to the limit.

i did notice a difference on the off the line pull on this weeyari.. its a great product and no regrets...and i did run a wire across the bay for the filter to lean on too incase its putting pressure on the silicone tube worked out great..

I've been running 5 months without providing any extra support. Frankly, when I look at the sturdiness of the connector and the light weight, I'm not concerned about the connection.

Decided that my (dirty) engine bay needed a splash of colour. Went and saw Gerry last weekend to swap my black silicones for red.

nice....and i do love this intake makes acceleration briskier.. i push the car on highway 401 everytime i head home..i just love the sound i got to post a video so everyone can hear..

oh by the way you can change the angle on where this thing is pointing depends on you preference..just turn the intake clock or counterclockwise.

Actually, I believe it will not fit.

Engine may be the same, the the space availability under the hood will not accomodate this intake.

never had afe but this one looks good ,sounds good. short ram and cold air..easier to take off than tucking the filter on the fender..
