Same here! =(

You're only entitled to it if you meet the following two conditions:
1. earn less than $100,000 AUD per financial year.

2. in your 07-08 notice of assessment document, you have to fit the following equation:
A + O - G is greater then $0 (i.e. you actually paid tax, even if it was $0.01)

A = tax on taxable income
O = medicare levy
G = tax offsets and other credits

I think the Govt's stimulus system is flawed..

did you even end up paying like 1 cent tax... like your total tax was 1000 and you claimed 999?

Yeah if you lodged a tax return form, and got ALL your tax back, you don't qualify because your A + O - G would be 0. But if you didn't pay tax, I don't think you'd have a 'O' on your notice of assessment (medicare levy)..

i dunno how much tax it was, dad did all the paper work for me, but i got $425.59 back from the return.

Oh ok, just grab your Notice of Assessment document that you got back from doing your tax return, look at the 'A', 'O' and 'G' values and see if when you pop them into the equation, if you get a value greater then 0 or not. Then you'd know if you're getting the $900 tax bonus. =)

We have bought new house furniture for our new house on finance, when the $900 each comes in $1,800 total we'll pay the new furniture off. Yes it was interest free finance.
