So, we had a little storm last night. Old Man Winter is refusing to give it up.

This is the really heavy, give-you-a-heart-attack-when-you-shovel kind of snow. But it's pretty, I suppose.

Ours is usually on my birthday (March 17th) but we were spared this year. Today has been 42 and raining....

I don't know if i answered your question about when i was in Wisconsin, Lisa.
July/August 2007, in Appleton for a robotics class for 2 weeks. Also a quick run to Mayville to visit a friend/supplier who makes keels for the boatyard.
Nice piece of country if you don't miss hills.

Yum.... makes me look forward to our two weeks of summer here in VT. The latest snow I can remember in recent years has been April 27th and the earliest aroung Sep 27th.

The great part of these storms.....the snow does not last.

I'm in Illinois and I'm watching the snow slowly fall off the trees outside my window right now.. ugh, I thought we were done!

i moved from buffalo NY (were a foot a snow in April is not uncommon) to Phoenix AZ

i dont miss cutting grass nor shoveling snow, its like sunny here 350 days out of the year and i start to miss the rain and snow a bit

but just not everything else that comes with it

That's a little bit how I feel. Since I live in an apartment, I don't have to shovel the stuff...just drive in it. =)

Still. life just seems too short to spend 6 months of it wearing a heavy coat and sweaters.

Yeah - about the same as down here, strangely. The worst part of WI for me was going to the lake shore and relaising there were no tides.... Didn't feel right.

In the fall there can be some good enough waves for people to surf on, believe it or not. It can get pretty windy. No tides, but that lake can get pretty rough.

I remember having my first softball game of the season about three years ago...in the snow...in the middle of April :(

Yes. Many spring and fall softball games are played in the snow...unfortunately!

About an inch of snow here. I was hoping not to see that again for a while :frown:
