How much power you think the auto trans is able to take for daily driving? And I'm just looking to add enough power for some more get and not for drag racing. 130-140-150 or none? Thanks and yes I did search.

No one knows. The only bolt-on solution for you right now is the Blitz supercharger. One person is going to try the Power Enterprise supercharger, so we should know about that one soon. It makes more power but is less proven (so far).

All turbo projects so far involve some fabrication; and tuning is definitely a problem to date.

I'm currently running a customized turbo kit and have no problems with the auto transmission so far.

I have a ATF cooler installed to ensure the temperature of the gearbox is maintained.

I have friends who has been running a turbo kit boosting 1 bar for the past 3 years on stock engine and stock auto tranny, no problems so far. Only issue he had was a fried piston ring, he got it replaced and he's on the go again.

Yup I'm using E-Manage with extra injectors. Its really unfortunate to know that the USDM ECU and JDM ECU is different :(

The Power Enterprise kit looks really promising, I hope it generates good result!

Well, US tuners are also very well respected here in Asia. Whenever we see a muscle car like the Camero, Chevvy or a Mustang pulling up in a drag strip in one of those automotive programs airing in satellite TV, we go like "DAMM......that is one bad assss car!"

*LOL*

What kind of power you guys doing on your auto trans? That would give me an idea of my limits I could expect to push. Thanks

Not a lot but I still have to tuning to do. See post 28. Remember that's WHP. Don't know what crank HP is.

I'm currently pushing 142whp on the stock auto tranny, well if we do a backward calculation of 20% power loss at the drivetrain, on the crank it should be pushing around 180 PS.

the auto tranny is very capable of handling boost :)

7psi from a 14b for 40k miles without any issues.

It seems like it, we have a boosted Vios running 1 bar for on the stock auto tranny for the past 3 years and he hasn't any problems at all, well besides a fried piston ring :D

Haha, well we can just raise the boost a little to make it reach 150 whp :)
