I saw a scion the other day with rear disc's, i cant remember if it was an xD or the new xB (which i think both are the same chassis as the yaris, correct?) Does anyone know more about this? Could it be a possible source for rear brake upgrades in the future?

xd looks to be the closest donor. aftermarket finally has a listing for rear hubs but price is still around toyota's.....

Garm sells a rear disc conversion for the Yaris. It is on my short list of must-have mods.

yeah i know he does, i was thinking more along the lines of a junk yard search. Should be cheap, maybe around a $100-200 hopefully...

I think the XB is not compatible but XD is. But does the XD bring rear discs?

Exactly they are both 5 lugs so the front has to be swaped out too, but earlier XB nor XA had rear discs and woulnd't have fitted and the new XB runs on a diferent platfrom than the Yaris and for XD if you want to do conversion to 5 lugs it should be a direct swap but $$$$ But XD don't bring rear discs

the new xB is based of the Toyota Corolla.... I doubt anything will fit

as for the xD long as you swap hubs you should be fine, but the rears are still drum

Hi

You can maybe order the parts from the European Toyota Yaris. They are all delivered with rear disc brakes.

Regards Steven.

Oh yeah? thats good to know...

As for the xD, i am glad someone mentioned 5 lug, i totally forgot about that, yeah it is 5 lug. i remember seeing that now! that would be a cool swap though :D i imagine the fronts should work as well, but im not really big on the number of lugs i have. In the front though, i wonder it the brake caliper and disc size are any larger? the entire car is, so perhaps it is...

I will be getting a new shipment of rear disc conversion kits in about a week or so. I will be able to offer slightly better pricing than before, too.

Also looking at importing a "kit" (meaning all the parts you need) for the Euro Yaris rear disc brake. Doubt it will be any less expensive though.

I love my rear disc brake conversion that I got from Garm. Looks so much better now. Was
pretty easy to install too.

The only adjustable dampers I know about are coming from Tokico -- no release date as far as I know at this point.

you may want to check with koni too, they have the yaris listed as a TBA on their site. I have emailed them to no avail, but as a vendor, perhaps you have more influence. just a heads up, thanks...
